Travelling with your own vehicle
Kaiserslautern is connected to the motorway network via the A 6 (Mannheim - Saarbrücken), the A 63 (Mainz - Kaiserslautern) and three federal highways. The RPTU is signposted at the main junctions.
Travelling by public transport
Every hour to Kaiserslautern: The journey time with TGV / ICE / IC or RE from the ICE hub Mannheim main station is approx. 45 minutes. Long-distance and regional buses stop at the Kaiserslautern bus station in front of the main railway station.
From the main railway station to the campus it takes about 10 minutes by regular buses, about 5 minutes by taxi, about 15 minutes by rental bike and about 20 minutes on foot.
